Revision Proposed

Karen Cota, School Board member from Roxbury proposed a revision to funding students from out of district who attend MC2. To quote the Sentinel, " ...any discrepancy between what Community Connections costs and what it costs to attend Monadnock High would be paid for by the parents or the district the student is from."

Voting for Cota's amendment: Phyllis T. Peterson of Fitzwilliam, James Carnie of Richmond, Tim Peloquin of Surry, Cota, Gerald Mazza, Ken Colby Jr., Bill Felton and Jon Kenyon all of Swanzey, and Doug Lyman of Troy.

Gene White, chairman of the policy committee (Swanzey) and Board chair Colline Dreyfuss (Swanzey) voted against the amendment.

Do Mr. White and Ms. Dreyfuss mind if Monadnock taxpayers end up subsidizing out of district students?
